National Open Water Swimming Ranking Series

The 3000m swim is the penultimate round of the H2Open Magazine National Open Water Swimming Ranking Series

H2Open Magazine has teamed up with seven event organisers around the country. You swim as many of the series races as you like, and the results of your best four races count towards your end of year ranking.

Age group series winners will walk away with a Dryrobe Advance worth £90. There are runners-up prizes too, of Torq nutrition products, as well as random spot prizes, so even if you’re not fast you could still end up a winner.

Swimming in Vachery Pond

Vachery Pond is an open water swimmer’s dream venue. Surrounded by ancient woodland this unique expanse of spring fed water is almost 900m long, 3.1 kilometres around and covers an area of almost 50 acres.

It is one of Surrey’s best kept secrets. Hidden in the Surrey Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and only minutes from London and the M25, M23 and M3 motorways.

There’ll be toilets, hot showers, marquee, some stands and vendors, and other event village attractions. Fresh drinking water will be available on site.

Race details

• 1,500 metre swimmers complete one lap of Vachery Pond

• 3,000 metre swimmers complete two laps of Vachery Pond

Wave starts – Seperate male and female waves
